Tavrima's supercapacitors use water based electrolyte (KOH) which is not flammable nor explosive. Some organic electrolytes utilized in ultracapacitors contain acetonytrile which is a flammable and toxic substance presenting high risk for automotive and other damage sensitive applications.
Tavrima produces multicell, bipolar, supercapacitors that combine high-energy and high-voltage, all in one unit.
Farad per farad Tavrima's supercapacitors are the
